CALES Career Talk: Nadia Zanger, Licensed Family and Marriage Therapist
Join the College of Agriculture, Life & Environmental Sciences (CALES) Career Center for our weekly Career Talks. Each week, students connect with professionals whose work supports student success, well-being, and career development within CALES and beyond. Complimentary lunch is provided to students who RSVP and attend in person.
This week’s Career Talk features Nadia Zanger, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with CALES students through Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS). Nadia provides wellness and mental health counseling tailored to the unique academic, personal, and life experiences of college students, with a strong understanding of the challenges faced by students in CALES majors.
Nadia is dedicated to creating a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where students can explore stress, emotions, and life transitions while building resilience and self-awareness. Her approach blends evidence-based therapeutic techniques with compassion, connection, and respect for each student’s lived experience. She supports students in navigating the pressures of college life while fostering holistic well-being, balance, and personal growth.
During this session, students will learn about the mental health and wellness resources available to them through CAPS, how counseling can support academic and personal success, and ways to proactively care for their mental health throughout their college journey. This talk is especially valuable for students interested in wellness, human development, counseling-related careers, or simply learning how to better support themselves and others during their time at UA.
