HACU National Internship Program (HNIP)
Not all federal internships are listed on USAJOBS. The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) partners directly with federal agencies to offer paid internship opportunities through its National Internship Program (HNIP).
HNIP connects college students to hands-on roles across a wide range of fields, including agriculture, environmental science, public and community health, data, policy, and more. Many recent opportunities (Spring 2026) were offered in virtual formats, with a strong presence from agencies such as the USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS), making these roles accessible to students nationwide.
Interns gain practical experience, build professional networks, and explore pathways into federal careers, all while earning a paycheck.
