To help meet our mission and vision, we are seeking an Advocacy, Health and Housing Program Intern to help raise awareness on housing issues including affordable housing and health impacts of housing. If you are the type of person who enjoys learning about housing issues; developing a grassroots advocacy program; writing content for general public (e-newsletter); reaching out to the public; and researching needs and best practices, then this position is for you. Duties include learning how to develop an effective advocacy program, writing compelling articles for FHR’s target audience, developing tools to be able to quickly respond to high priority advocacy needs, developing evergreen outreach and social media tools, and assisting with advocacy events on an as needed basis. This is an unpaid opportunity to gain experience and knowledge in program development. Previous experience not necessary but you must have excellent communication, research, comprehension, computer and writing skills.
