Summer camps, conference centers, leadership development centers, and outdoor education facilities are seeking Facilities Coordinators for the upcoming summer season. These individuals will be responsible for the maintenance, improvement, and safety of outdoor camp facilities, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe and positive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance of outdoor facilities, including cabins, picnic areas, trails, and outdoor equipment.
Repairs and Upgrades: Conduct repairs, improvements, and construction projects as needed to enhance the functionality and aesthetics of camp facilities.
Equipment Oversight: Maintain, repair, and oversee the use of camp equipment, such as kayaks, ropes courses, and archery ranges.
Safety Compliance: Ensure that all camp facilities meet safety standards and guidelines, performing risk assessments and taking corrective action as necessary.
Groundskeeping: Manage the appearance and cleanliness of camp grounds, including landscaping, waste management, and overall tidiness.
Inventory Management: Keep an inventory of maintenance and repair supplies, as well as equipment, and order replacements or repairs as needed.
Emergency Response: Be prepared to assist in emergency situations and coordinate with camp management for disaster response.
Collaboration: Work closely with other camp staff and supervisors to ensure facilities support camp programs and objectives. Receive mentorship and supervision from experienced tradesmen and women.
