Summer camps and conference centers are seeking Food and Beverage Specialists for the upcoming summer season. These individuals will be responsible for planning, preparing, and serving delicious and nutritious meals to campers, staff, and guests, ensuring a positive dining experience. These Specialists will work under the oversight of Chefs, Sous Chefs, and Food & Beverage Managers.
Key Responsibilities:
Meal Planning: Collaborate with camp management to plan menus that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of campers and staff.
Food Preparation: Oversee the preparation of all meals, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks, ensuring quality and portion control.
Kitchen Operations: Manage day-to-day kitchen operations, including supervising kitchen staff, organizing kitchen tasks, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Dietary Requirements: Accommodate special dietary requirements and food allergies of campers and staff, and communicate effectively with the camp’s health center.
Inventory Management: Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure efficient storage and use of food products.
Budget Management: Assist in managing the food and beverage budget, optimizing cost-efficiency without compromising quality.
Health and Safety: Enforce food safety and health regulations, and ensure that the kitchen operates in compliance with local health codes.
Menu Variety: Create diverse and appealing meal options that keep campers excited about dining at camp.
