Waterfront Specialists will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of campers during waterfront activities, including swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
Water Safety: Implement and enforce all waterfront safety protocols, ensuring campers and staff adhere to safety rules during all aquatic activities.
Swim Instruction: Provide swimming instruction and supervision, ensuring campers of all levels have the opportunity to improve their swimming skills.
Boating and Canoeing: Oversee boating and canoeing activities, ensuring proper equipment use and safety measures.
Lifeguarding: Serve as a lifeguard during swim sessions and other water activities, maintaining constant vigilance and readiness to respond to emergencies.
Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the proper maintenance and storage of all waterfront equipment, conducting regular safety checks.
Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to water-related emergencies, initiate rescue procedures, and coordinate with the camp’s health center when necessary.
Teaching Safety: Educate campers on water safety practices and provide guidance on responsible water behavior.
