At PENTA, a Human Resources Intern is accountable for:
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Answering frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; referring more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
- Providing clerical support to the HR department.
- Booking travel arrangements for new hires attending orientation and candidate interviews that require travel.
- Assisting with reviewing all incoming emails in the Human Resources & PENTA/All 5’s inboxes.
- Conducting or assisting with new hire orientation.
- Participating in weekly Human Resource team meetings.
- Assisting with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

- Enrolled in a four-year degree program in Human Resources or related major.
- Eager to learn all aspects of the Human Resources department with a positive attitude.
- Highly skilled with verbal and written communication.
- Organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Able to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy while possessing excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with or possess the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
